Spirit day is about anti-bullying.
Then, WHY do you bring up gay marriage on a piece entitled "spirit day"?
Those are two, COMPLETELY different issues.
You can be a heterosexist, for example, and not a homophobe.
See what I'm saying?
Have you even read about Spirit Day once? It was about people being bullied for their sexuality. I don't see why I shouldn't have put gay marriage in this, considering it is a reason for bullying, not just by homophobes but also by heterosexists. They can be pretty rude as well.
I see you didn't get the entire message of this deviation, it is about anti-bullying, and I didn't just put gay marriage in it.
I understand what spirit day is.
I understand the issues of the legalization of homosexual marriage.
My ONLY point is that there are PLENTY of people who oppose the legalization of gay marriage but ALSO oppose bullying towards homosexuals.
Similarly, there are PLENTY of people who don't give two shits about whether gays can marry (or hell, even support it), but treat homosexuals like crap.
Spirit Day is about anti-bullying.
Anti-legalization =/= bullying.

Yes, I know, it's still an important issue, I didn't want it to sound like it isn't; seems that I failed at that.
Honestly, I get what you mean. But many people still get bullied for sexuality, and it was important for me to capture mostly that, not the "Anti-legalization =/= bullying"-thing. I understand why many people are heterosexists, but most of them are also homophobes. Not all of course, and praise be upon those who don't bully.

Is your point basically, this:
Although being against gay marriage doesn't mean you bully them, the two are often in occurrence of each other.
If stated like that, I'm afraid it's sometimes true
I'll be the first to admit I'm against homosexual marriage, but!!! Homophobes make me SICK!
NO ONE should be treated as "lesser", even if they practice something you disapprove of. Yeah?
